silk obi belts

More than an accessory, obi belts become a part of the act of dressing. Reversible by design, they wrap the body in a gesture of gathering, bringing focus, intention and readiness for what lies ahead, while offering a sense of support and protection.

In this collection two layers of pure silk shantung form the foundation of each belt. Silk reclaimed from a vintage tie is then hand-stitched trough its full length, gradually creating a shared rhythm of connection and direction.
